There is always a lovely sense of anticipation waiting for a roll of film to get developed. It’s a nice excuse to slow down, look back, and appreciate the little moments that usually fly by too quickly.
Ash and I have been carrying the old film camera around with us (when we remember to bring it). We’ve captured a real mix of things from the past 6 months—including our yearly camping trip, a rained off hike, some excellent cafe hopping in Christchurch and Wellington, not to mention a special blend for Kiwi band Fat Freddy's Drop.
Ash again, this time between dips on a beach in Coromandel. Our yearly camping trip up there is always a huge highlight.
Penny and I keeping up with the camp chores in Coromandel.
A rained off attempt at the Pinnacles hike in the Coromandel led us to a cosy cabin in the valley.
Between showers we found a swimming hole where Ash braved the icy water.
Soaking up the sun next to the Avon River, Christchurch.
Ticking off a few of the Christchurch cafés we’ve been looking forward to visiting for a while.
We caught Fat Freddy's Drop in Wellington for their anniversary tour. Ash had some fun designing a custom label and sending the band some of our breakfast tea.
Calling in to say hello to the lovely team at Little Grump in Wellington.

Double parking our brews at Swimsuit Café. It’s a must visit whenever we're in the capital.
Stopping in at Down to Earth Organics in New Plymouth to celebrate their birthday.
Harrison using a human ladder (me) to reach for some apples. Lake Taupo.
Fluffy Queen, Penny. Stassano Deli, Tauranga.
That’s it from me – thanks for flicking through the album.
