The Caker - Cake Kits
We’re thrilled to offer The Caker’s iconic cake kits - indulgent baking that feel a little bit special.
Created by Kiwi baker Jordan Rondel, The Caker celebrates good ingredients, bold flavours, and the pure joy of baking. The cake kits make a beautiful gift, a birthday treat, or the perfect slow Sunday bake just because.
Each kit comes with almost everything you need. Simply add a few fresh ingredients (listed on the front of each box), and you’ll have a cake that looks and tastes like it’s straight from a bakery.
Carrot Cake
This kit creates a very sticky carrot cake, gently spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Dried currants add little sweet-tart bursts in every bite, while the classic cream cheese icing brings everything together. To finish, a sachet of Barkers salted caramel is included for drizzling over the top.
Lemon Strawberry
A moist, not-too-sweet cake that smells like literal heaven as it turns golden in the oven. The baked crumb is satisfyingly dense, with the bright zing of lemon and juicy strawberries coming together to taste like the essence of summer — though frozen strawberries work just as well, so you can enjoy it year-round.
Matcha Cherry
Vivid green matcha tea meets tart, juicy cherries in this moist, almond flour cake. The icing - whether a glaze or buttercream - adds just the right sweetness, rounding off each bite. Like many of Jordan’s recipes, it’s moist, luscious, and can be made vegan too.

Store somewhere cool and dark like a pantry. If your house is super hot in summer then it is possible the heat will have some effects on our products - the worst that could happen is things like chocolate might melt or the matcha might become a bit discolored, which doesn’t affect the taste of the cake. This is unavoidable with high quality ingredients and no preservatives added. If you are worried, you can store the kits in the fridge, or you could just bake your cake ASAP after receiving it.
