Lapsang Souchong is a type of black tea originally from the Wuyi region in the Fujian province of China. It's known for its distinctive smoky flavour, achieved by drying the tea leaves over pinewood fires. While other black teas undergo similar processing steps, Lapsang Souchong is the only one deliberately smoked, resulting in its characteristic flavour unlike any other tea. The aroma alone can evoke images of campfires or wood-burning stoves. 

What’s in the blend?

While Lapsang Souchong contributes to the strong smoky character, it is balanced subtly by the addition of earthy Yunnan and sweetish Keemun black teas for complementary flavours.
